We Play!

Where are your children playing lately? Share at Childhood 101…I do! Awesome ideas from other moms!

Some days the boys play a lot with toys. Other days they just want to draw or paint on our easel. Many times, though, they are trying to get the chalk, crayon or dry erase marker from each other when they do resulting in no creation. Here is a rare photo of them working together on a project. Of course, it was just a bunch of colors on the paper (I mean, they are still pretty young!) but I was so impressed! For an entire 10 minutes there was no bickering and very little paint on the face of Sweet Pea. We ended up with the pleasure of viewing lots of water marks and a bit of paint on the paper, but it’s still their creation! Sweet Pea smiled with delight and pride when we gushed over their artwork and there is nothing like seeing your child react when praised!

Ah the freedom of a blank sheet of paper just waiting for a whole world of possibilities.

i agree, a moment of sibling co-creativeness is something to be celebrated! (as long as the creativeness is on paper and not the walls, lol)

There is something about standing at an art easel with paint that kids seem to love. Very nice picture.

I love that they are working side by side. This is what childhood memories are made of 🙂
