Sweet Pea, 7 years old and completing first grade, loves for us to read to him, but is starting to read chapter books on his own as well as longer childrens’ books. It’s been exciting watching him learn to read, and we are loving watching his love for books grow!

What's on their bedside table? Recommendations for 7 year olds by a 7 year old at https://momistheonlygirl.com

  Sweet Pea’s Favorite Books*:

Boxcar Children series – chapter books – by Gertrude Chandler Warner
A to Z Mysteries – chapter books – by Ron Roy
Snappsy the Alligator – by Julie Falatko and illustrations by Tim Miller
Hensel and Gretel Ninja Chicks by Corey Rosen Schwartz and Rebecca J. Gomez
Chick n Pug by Jennifer Sattler

*(in no particular order and none of these links are affiliate links, although Snappsy the Alligator and Hansel and Gretel Ninja Chicks were provided by Penguin Random House in exchange for an honest review or being mentioned on this blog (however are included in this list because they did indeed stay on the bedside table for a while and make the list.))

As stated in a previous post, the boys want to put their reviews of some of these books on the blog, so watch for them!
