I hope you enjoyed your holiday spending time with family and loved ones! Now that you think you can put your feet up and get a little rest there’s the New Year’s resolutions topic to discuss!
Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? I used to make a list of things that I wanted to accomplish or ways in which I wanted to grow, but since getting married 18 years ago, I just haven’t, and since starting a family almost 5 years ago I just haven’t had the time to even think about it! I do have some thoughts about the New Year, though, which I thought I’d share in case you need some prompting (but don’t feel pressured to act on them, OK? I don’t want to add to your stress levels!)
- What are you anticipating in this New Year? Is there a special date coming up? A special anniversary, whether happy or sad?
- What are you dreading? dieting? Failed resolutions? Bad news? Can the source of dread be dealt with?
- How are you preparing, both for the New Year and for the resolutions you’ve made? Do you have a plan? Are you planning to succeed?
- What type of support do you have? I mean this for both your resolutions to succeed and for yourself in general in this New Year.
So, you already know I’m not big on resolutions, but I’m always coming across new ideas for organizing and self-improvement ideas. I’d love to share resources I’ve found on-line, but, well, I’m just not that organized – yet! I may just pop on here or there this week with my expanded thoughts on a couple of the questions I asked above, though…just to get you thinking!
I am going to try this year to get better organized and hopefully less stressed. I have a method in mind to help me to achieve this madness. I’ll definitely be posting about it as I go!
Enjoy your week leading up to New Year’s!
