Mystery counting

On our way home from the store Cutie Pie all of a sudden started counting. One….two….three….four (long pause) five….six….I was trying to guess what he was counting. “Are you counting cars?” “Are you counting trees?” He loved this little guessing game, yet all the while was counting until he ran out of numbers he knows to count with.

Finally Cutie Pie told me giggling his little giggle…”I’m counting houses!” The very impressive part of this is that on our drive from this store there are businesses scattered in amongst the houses and he only counted the houses!

I love it when he takes it upon himself to do something like count and that he finds it fun!
