Some days I think my toddler is really a frog! He ribbits, gets down and jumps from a squatting position, sometimes makes a splashing noise.
Other days he seems to curl up in my lap and suddenly I hear a tiny “meow” come from his little mouth and a smile creeps across his lips.
Still other times I hear him pant like a dog followed by either a rough bark or a sweet little ‘ruff ruff’ as he tries to climb up on the couch or his brother!
Sometimes several times a day I hear Sweet Pea blowing into the Boom Whackers, trying to be an elephant, but not quite getting the trumpet right!
Most of the time these actions are followed quickly by my preschooler reacting by pretending to be the same animal, another animal, or by him petting Sweet Pea’s head!
I love it when my kiddos pretend like this, especially when they are gentle towards each other and toward that animal the next time they see a real one!
