Hubby and I celebrated nineteen years of marriage yesterday. Nineteen years is a long time…long enough to have a college student like some of our friends, but we have a 5 year old and 3 year old.
Our friends at this stage of life vary. We have friends who were our marriage mentors, parents of young teens when we first met them a month after we were married. We have friends who are parents of little ones younger than ours. We like that. We can turn to those who have been through our shoes, those who are experiencing the same as us and spend time with those whose enthusiasm about life with little ones is still fresh. And we like that we’ve each been married to our best friend all the while!
My best friend…the love you show me every day, the support you give, the way you look at me, the words you say…I can’t possibly express my love for you and how thankful I am to have created memories I will cherish always with you. I love you!
