Balancing Act

Cutie Pie had fun yesterday at the Rochester Museum of Play, where we play frequently. On several occasions he has ‘balanced’ in the Super-hero section, pretending to be Spiderman or Batman walking high over the city on a narrow beam.

Today when we were outside playing he saw some of the wood leftover from re-doing the decking and next thing I know we had a 2 x 4 laying down on the driveway and the kiddos and I were taking turns balancing!

Cutie Pie has improved so much in the gross motor area. At the beginning of the summer it was hard to get him to run and play, chase a ball or ride his bike. He preferred sitting in his gravel pit, much like Ferdinand liked sitting under his cork tree. Now he’s running all around and getting more coordinated every day!
