Dinosaur Roar!

We went to the library yesterday, which is one of Cutie Pie’s favorite things to do! Sometimes I really find it fun, too, but lately for me it consists mostly of chasing Sweet Pea around while trying really hard to find some fun books for the boys. Yesterday we brought home some books we’ve read before and some new to us books, which are always fun to explore through kids’ eyes!

One book we bring home every so often is Dinosaur Roar! by Paul and Henrietta Stickland. The previous times we’ve gotten this book we’ve talked mostly about the kinds of dinosaurs in the book, because that was what Cutie Pie loved about it. This time we read it we talked about the opposites, which Cutie Pie knows, but for some reason this time he was really taken with talking about them in addition to talking about the kinds of dinosaurs on each page. This, of course, led to discussion about more ways the dinosaurs are different or the same. Cutie Pie always seemed to mention the less obvious ways. I would notice the size, he would notice one is showing it’s teeth and the other isn’t, or one looks scared and the other doesn’t seem bothered.
