Our neighbor had her grandson over today and he got out his T-ball and asked Cutie Pie to come play with him. Ms. N raised 4 children and has some great ideas when it comes to helping little ones get along. Ideas that are so simple that I often wonder why I hadn’t thought of it! Of course, that’s probably why I don’t have those thoughts, I make things overly complicated sometimes!
Ms N brought out the T-ball and T she has for him and 8 balls – 4 of them red, 4 of them blue. Her grandson used one color and Cutie Pie the other. They each hit their 4 balls and then gave the bat to the other. There was no squabbling, no whining, just content children playing and taking turns! It was great! I have to say the only minor frustrations involved included a dog who didn’t readily retrieve the balls and Sweet Pea who wouldn’t always set the ball on the T and then walk away – he wanted to shake the T until the balls fell off instead!
