One of the boys’ favorite things to do with their daddy is to play with his iPod! Early on Hubby was smart and downloaded some kid-friendly games because he knew they would want to get their little fingers on his ‘toy’! At first we didn’t really like this idea of them playing games on it, but it has turned out to be a good thing for Cutie Pie.
We’ve noticed, as I mentioned before, that Cutie Pie has taken an interest in wanting to write and until recently hasn’t really wanted to. Since he’s been playing some games on the iPod, his gotten much more accurate with his writing skills. It’s also been a sneaky way to reinforce the idea of processes and patience as he has to take turns with Sweet Pea, but also follow the steps to get to a game to play it.
I’m not endorsing or encouraging you to let your child play with an iPod, but in our case it was just the ticket to get Cutie Pie using his fingers and making them stronger for writing! Major fine-motor action going on here!
