Stuffed Hugs for Sandy Hook

A friend of mine has been emotionally struck by the horrible tragedy in Connecticut like most of us, but has taken her emotions and used them to organize Stuffed Hugs for Sandy Hook. This is taken right from the face book page she set up:

With the help of everyone willing, I would like to collect enough stuffed animals so that any child that wants something to cuddle up with and start the process of healing and feeling safe again can have something to hold on to day or night and know that there are millions of people that are holding them back through that stuffed animal.

I would like to collect as many new stuffed animals as I am able between now and Saturday December 22nd, so that they can be delivered to Newtown, Connecticut and handed

out to the children of Sandy Hook Elementary before Christmas.

As our hearts ache for this community, we as a Country and a community, have the opportunity to reassure these children that the world can, and should be a safe and caring place. These children could surely use something to hold on to not only for physical comfort, but moreover, for the psychological comfort that reaffirms the world can be a place of love, healing, and help.

If you feel so inclined to be part of showing the children of this community a little bit of love and start the healing process, please follow this link for the address and information.
