Snow play on March 24th?!

Isn’t it crazy to get a bunch of snow at the end of March? We did all day yesterday, which led to a fun day outdoors in the sun and snow today! Cutie Pie and I were very excited that Sweet Pea actually asked to go outside! I think that’s only the second time this winter he’s wanted to be out in the snow and followed through!

We tried snow soccer. The soccer ball would roll in the light snow on the driveway, but would sink in the deeper areas. Cutie Pie determined the ball was heavier than the snow.

I shuffled my feet to make snow letters on the lawn, much to Cutie Pie’s delight! I didn’t expect this to be such a hit with him! Sweet Pea loved following me as I ‘wrote’. Cutie Pie did great recognizing the letters, by the way! It was a great review for him!

The boys always love shoveling – evidently Sweet Pea loves to do it in the snow just as much as in the sand!

Poor Sweet pea kept slipping. The ground was just right so when tire tracks were made in the driveway they turned to ice, which Sweet Pea unfortunately was fascinated with. Poor kiddo must have fallen 7 or 8 times!

The boys played ‘Snow Train’, where they pulled their sleds in a line and Sweet Pea ended up following in Cutie Pie’s ‘train track’.

This day ended up being a good outdoor activity day and great review for the alphabet we’ve learned so far! (especially the letter S!)
