On our second vacation day we actually headed to Niagara, NY, just outside of Buffalo. We actually went to the Aquarium of Niagara and Niagara Falls, but I think the aquarium was too neat a place to sketch over, so I’m going to post several pics today of the aquarium and Monday of the falls.

| The Niagara Aquarium building is actually round…in the center is the pool where they do the sea lion shows. |
| Hanging from the ceiling are all sorts of sharks. Cutie Pie was a little scared at first, but once he realized they weren’t alive he was fascinated! |
| All of the aquariums are low enough for kids to easily see the fish, and many have steps for the kiddos to stand on as well. This was very cool, because many of the fish are huge and swam right up to the glass. It was as if the kids could touch them. They saw everything from penguins to seals to sea lions to sea horses…my kids were so into this experience! |

| This is the pool at the center of the Aquarium. It was a little hard to hear clearly (it echoed) but was the perfect place to watch a show. The windows at water level are actually on the main floor and from there you can see underwater. This was a far cry from the aquarium in Chicago, but still worth the trip! |
| Along the walls upstairs are large close up pics of various water creatures. You make a guess and lift the door to see if you identified the creature correctly. Cutie Pie attempted guessing several times, but then both boys decided it was much more fun to just lift the doors and see what the creature actually was. |

This was a good drive for us, and we did expect it to be larger and take more than just an hour and a half to walk through, however, my kiddos totally loved this place and we will definitely go back. I know when we go back we will combine it with a visit to another place as well. After enjoying Niagara Aquarium we had lunch and then we drove a very short distance to Niagara Falls State Park and spent the afternoon checking out the Niagara Falls. I will post about our experience there on Monday!
