Cutie Pie and I cuddled for a while yesterday morning rather than me getting ready to start the day right away. We ended up having some great pretend/story time! Cutie Pie narrated the story as we went in a spaceship straight up into the sky and landed in China. We got out, explored, ate some bamboo (not sure why he thinks it’s there) then got some musical instruments and hopped back into the spaceship, which suddenly became our home because we like to travel, and went back to where we started. To make me less afraid Cutie Pie suggested we play our trumpets the whole way.
It was so fun to sit with him in my arms and listen to his mind working through this story! We never left the couch, although many items in the room became part of the story and came alive through his words. The words he chose were so descriptive, some words I’ve never heard him use before. I’m very much looking forward to the next adventure!
