I’m hoping you haven’t been able to tell that I’ve been working for a month, part-time, at the same place I worked before Cutie Pie came along as they had a need for a temporary, part-time worker and thought of me. It’s been different. I like being around other ladies, and the conversations we have that don’t include things like “Say please” or “Wait a minute and I’ll pull your pants up, good job going on the potty.” However, I don’t like being away from my boys.
This has been an interesting time for all of us. The boys get to see Nana a lot more often as she comes for a few hours each day I’m working to fill the gap between when I leave and when Hubby comes home. The boys love that, and I know Nana does, too. It’s also given Hubby some time with the boys after their naps all by himself. They are different boys all refreshed after a nap! He’s taken them to the grocery store, played in the water with them and just had fun with them at a time of day he normally wouldn’t be home alone with them.
So, although I don’t ‘like’ being away several afternoons a week, I’m glad our family is experiencing this. Cutie Pie, Sweet Pea, Hubby and I are all, in our own ways, refreshed through this time and have each learned through it, too.
